Hi there! I’m Kyli, a 33-year-old homeschooling mom on a mission to embrace the wild wonders of the Western US and Canada with my three incredible boys, ages 9, 7, and 5. Life is an adventure, and I believe in giving my kids a childhood filled with experiences they’ll cherish forever. That’s why we’re hitting the road (and the trails!) for 30 days, covering over 4200 miles and likely spending around 80 hours becoming very well-acquainted in the car!
This journey isn’t just about seeing breathtaking landscapes; it’s about getting real, up close and personal with each other and the incredible world around us. We’re trading screens for scenery, and structured lessons for the spontaneous learning that comes from exploring new places. As the founder of Western Slope Wonder Academy, education and a love of discovery are close to my heart, and I’m excited to see how the wonders of nature will ignite curiosity in all of us.
Adding another member to our adventure squad is our beloved 15-year-old dog. She’s been a steadfast companion, and I couldn’t imagine leaving her behind, so she’ll be experiencing the beauty of the open road right alongside us.
This trip is a leap of faith, a dive into the unknown, and a commitment to creating memories that will last a lifetime. We’re not seasoned tent experts by any means, so expect a healthy dose of humor and honest tales as we navigate the joys (and occasional challenges) of camping and traveling together.
“Wild Minds Wander” is a space for us to share our journey – the stunning vistas, the unexpected detours, the laughter around the campfire, and the moments of quiet connection in the heart of nature. Join us as we explore, learn, and grow, one mile and one tent pitch at a time. Thanks for being a part of our adventure!
